Cultivating Three Magical Mindset Shifts, and how to Let go of Limiting Beliefs

The simple phrase, 'it's all in your head' is a term which is loosely used, but it has a strong connection to the truth, and here's why.  To cultivate a growth mindset, which is important for your personal and professional progression, you're required to shift your way of thinking. This (i know)  isn't always easy, but by staying committed to reprogramming your mind, you'll open yourself up to new possibilities and new ways of showing up in the world, which are more in alignment with how you want to feel.

I mean, take it from me, you want to learn the the tools to write your own success story, and in doing so, you'll need to let go of the stories that hold you back.

And so my friend, you're at the right place, because I'm about to share some simple strategies with you.

First and foremost. Do you have a meditation practice?

In order to make positive and lasting change in your life, you NEED to have some sort of meditation practice. It doesn't have to be an hour long, although, that would be ace if it is, but simply sitting in silence, watching your thoughts. entering into the blackness of the space before your closed eyes. That's one way of developing a clear connection to your subconscious mind.

With that in place, the next three suggestions will be cake: 

  1. Develop a Vision for your Goals.

I’ve noticed something over the past several years: the most interesting, accomplished people I know all have a vision for their lives. They seem to know what comes next, like they’ve seen the future. Experts support the idea that with a vision in mind, you are more likely to succeed far beyond what you could otherwise achieve without a clear vision.

  1. Take inspired action towards who you want to be. A future YOU. I've a blog post (and it's an absolute doosey) being published on the 13th September, about Alignment and Inspired action. I'm purposefully using the words INSPIRED ACTION, because This type of action is almost always accompanied by a rush of energy, and feelings of excitement, enthusiasm and joy. Inspired action is one of the core ‘tenets’ of harnessing the power of the law of attraction. Taking action that feels good sure beats taking action that feels shitty.

  1. Let go of limiting beliefs, habits and people.

Have you ever felt like you weren’t living up to your potential? That chasing your ultimate dream is a waste of time because you’ll never accomplish it? Hopeless. Doubt. Uncertainty? You’re certainly not alone. I know the feeling, and quite frankly, it’s awful. 

All of us hold onto the beliefs we developed during childhood. I've found that personally, I've often unknowingly let those negative self-beliefs prevent me from being the fullest expression of who I really am, for fear of being ostracised, ridiculed or not enough. As I've matured, and as I've participated in 'the work', I've come to realise that I'm able to change my beliefs by reflecting, resolving and releasing my memories.

I teach the theory of my practise this in my Open-HEARTED Monthly Intensive.

Reflecting and Defining, is the simple act of witnessing and acknowledging your belief system and how it has impacted your present reality.

Resolving and Creating from the future, is how you manage your mind during the time of reflection. One of my favourite ways of taking my reflections and deciding how I'd like to progress, is to journal. I set a timer for ten minutes, and write down all the things that I think about the subject. How I feel. What i consider to be the truth. Whatever is in my head, goes down on paper. I then, after the ten minutes are up, read what I've written. The simple act of seeing your thoughts on paper is a revelation in itself. After taking the time to read my thoughts, I pick a thought that isn't serving me, like a limiting belief, and I choose to turn it around to what it is that I DO WANT to believe. This is an incredible practise.

Changing my mindset from how I feel victimised to empowered, is one of the greatest gifts I'll ever give myself. Carving out the time and space to recreate my thoughts, which in turn then re-creates my reality - POWERFUL STUFF YA'ALL.

Try it. It works like a charm.

Releasing, Attraction and Action;  Visualisation is one powerful tools that can be effective in changing limiting beliefs, because the process of visualisation speaks directly to the subconscious mind and plants empowering messages often overriding limiting beliefs.
