My Review of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) Health Coach Certification Program

Are you interested in starting your journey in becoming a health coach?

Read on, as I share my review of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN)’s Health Coach Certification Program. This is the place I started my coaching career, and even though I was already a yoga teacher, it gave me the confidence to enter into the Wellbeing Space as someone who could help clients transform both on and off the mat. Read on for my review…

How did I hear about IIN?

In 2014, I began my career in spirituality and personal growth. I quit my corporate gig, and led yoga classes and workshops around Melbourne including classes that delved into topics like Meridian Theory, Aromatic Yoga, Wellness and Meditation. At the time these topics of wellness conversation were starting to kick-off. Having completed my first Yoga Teacher Cert in 2010, I felt like I’d had four years to settle into this world of eating clean and meditation as a daily hygiene practice. I was attending daily yoga classes and preaching to all who would listen, so going out on my own and starting a coaching practice, was the next step in my spiritual and professional evolution.

As the years passed I started to notice clients / students wanting to stay after class to talk about all things health and wellness. There was (and still is) a very clear and deep desire for self-care and growth with a need for direction and support.

I myself, felt like I needed to take the next step in my own evolution, and I noticed a trend amongst wellness bloggers who super passionate about their own health and well-being, all posting about their experiences with Health Coaching. These bloggers were finding that through their own journey of healing they were being guided to heal others and make it their profession.

What was this Health Coaching profession that they all spoke about ?

Here is a Sample Class of the Health Coach Training Program to give you a taste of what it’s all about!

I was inspired by these self-assured, self-aware, sharp women who were studying and or who had graduated from this program.

It was time for me to check out the program. I did some research, and fell in love with their program.

IS IIN FOR YOU?

  • You’re passionate about health & wellness.

  • Perhaps you’re already in the wellness field, looking to add value to your work experience.

  • You’re a personal trainer / yoga instructor – though this experience is not required to become a Health Coach!

  • Your health journey healed you and inspired you to heal others.

  • You long for career flexibility.

  • You want to be of service to others in the wellness industry.

  • You’re keen to leave the corporate grind and have your own wellness-based business.

  • You feel called to create a fulfilling new career doing something they love.

  • You get really nerdy about the latest superfood trend or the easiest way to get more greens into your diet.

If you’re ready to take your personal health and happiness to the next level, start a career in the wellness field, or strengthen your current career in wellness, this is THE program for you!

Five Benefits of Being a Health Coach:

  • Be your own boss and create a schedule that works for you, your family, and your clients.

  • Work from anywhere, anytime, doing work you love that aligns with your heart and your goals.

  • Create financial freedom with alternative revenue streams, such as hosting virtual coaching programs or other coaching services.

  • Be a leader in your community by setting an example of leading a healthy lifestyle.

  • Improve your own health while also helping people seeking their own health transformations.

A Health Coach’s role is not to perform clinical work or prescribe, diagnose, or treat any specific condition. They teach clients to take a holistic approach to transforming their health, looking at not just food but all areas of life that can impact well-being, such as your environment, relationships, career, spirituality, and much more. Health Coaches support clients in implementing diet and lifestyle changes, such as those that are recommended by their doctor, nutritionist, or dietitian.
