ONE: Lavender Essential Oil: A light floral aroma, well known for its relaxing and healing qualities. Lavender is a nerve tonic and is beneficial for times of stress, irritation and sleeplessness.

  1. Easing headaches - There's also strong evidence that lavender can help treat headaches and migraine. Breathing in the scent of lavender essential oil can help the acute management of migraine attacks. One 2013 study found that people reported a significant reduction in pain after only 15 minutes of inhaling the lavender oil.

  2. inducing sleep - ROLL Directly on your skin:  Lavender is rapidly absorbed through the skin, so this is the quickest and most effective way to use lavender to help you sleep. Place 2-3 drops on your temples or on the soles of your feet

  3. soothing skin irritations - Since lavender has antifungal properties and reduces inflammation, it can help keep eczema at bay. Lavender oil can also be used to treat psoriasis. The lavender oil helps cleanse your skin and lessen redness and irritation.

  4. Easing breast tenderness - This oil is a great antispasmodic. It has sedative effects on the nervous system. Studies show that Lavender is a great essential oil for PMS breast tenderness, pain, anxiety, etc. It supports not only the mind but also the body of a woman. It can improve the blood circulation and lower blood pressure. This relaxes the body and the uterus, as well as it promotes a better lymph function. Lavender is also anti-inflammatory and a good local anesthetic. (PS.   5. Reducing muscle aches and cramps - The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties in Lavender oil are quite effective for treating pains that arise from muscle stress and tension. Lavender oil can also ease swelling and improve blood circulation. It is excellent for relieving the muscle spasm caused by mental stress and anxiety.

  6. preventing early labor - Gently apply 1-3 drops of Lavender on stomach or heart area to help stop preterm labor contractions (dilute in coconut oil if your skin is sensitive)

  7. reducing allergies - Lavender Essential Oil works as a natural antihistamine and possesses strong anti-inflammatory properties that will treat an relieve most allergic reactions.

  8. Anxiety and depression - Research suggests that lavender may be of benefit as a complementary treatment for mild to moderate depression.

  9. High blood pressure - Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils for enhancing relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety. Various scientists behind a 2006 study and a 2012 study found that a blend of oils, including lavender, could reduce high blood pressure in participants who inhaled it.

  10. Swelling - Painful inflammation can be treated with lavender oil. The oil's pain-relieving and numbing effects help soothe the inflammation, while the beta-caryophyllene in the oil also acts as a natural anti-inflammatory.





TWO: Frankincense Essential Oil: Frankincense helps to overcome nervous fatigue and silence a busy mind, encouraging us to reflect on the past and seek clear inspiration for the future.

Comes in a Pre-diluted in a roller ball which can be used for:

  1. Acid reflux- Add 4 drops to 1 tsp carrier oil. Rub over the throat, chest and stomach before bed. 

  2. Anxiety and Depression - Frankincense oil is known to lessen anxiety by activating the limbic system to overcome your racing thoughts. It also acts as a sedative to relax your body and mind. Best to use: Due to its strong scent, many people prefer to diffuse the oil than directly apply to their skin.






THREE: Bergamot Essential Oil: Bergamot is the most delicate of the citrus plants, requiring a special climate and soil in order to thrive. Italians have used Bergamot for years for its calming and soothing aroma for making skin feel fresher and smoother. In Greece, the unripe fruits are used as sweetmeats, eaten by the spoonful as a dessert or with coffee.

Bergamot essential oil is unique among citrus oils due to its ability have an uplifting and calming aroma, making it ideal for diffusion. It is also clarifying and cleansing for the skin while having a calming effect.







You will use it predominantly for:

  1. Muscle spasms and muscle aches (only applied at night because Bergamot is the most photosensitizing of essential oils and, as a citrus oil, may cause sensitivity to skin if oxidized.  Pregnant women are especially sensitive to the sun, so avoid using on skin that will be exposed to the sun or wait 12 hours before exposure after applying topically).

  2. Eases emotional upset;  Known as "Natures Prozac" it is one of the most popular aromatherapy oils for easing anxiety, stress, depression, nervous tension, over-emotional feelings, and physical and mental agitation.

  3. Cold sores; Bergamot Essential Oil has been show to inhibit herpes simplex I virus which causes cold sores. It has also been used to treat cystitis and UTIs. It can be used in the very early stages in a bath to prevent the infection from spreading. Bergamot is a known carminative useful in relieving colic & indigestion.  The most well known use for Bergamot Essential Oil is for the nervous system. It is known to be sedative but also uplifting and is one that is used for its antidepressant activity. 

  4. Reduces fever - The stimulating effect of Bergamot oil lowers fever temperature by increasing sweat production. Diffuse this oil to start feeling better or mix a few drops into a base oil and rub into your chest, neck, throat, and temples.


FOUR: Geranium Essential oil: A member of the Pelargonium genus, geranium is grown for its beauty and is a staple of the perfume industry. While there are over 200 different varieties of Pelargonium flowers, only a few are used as essential oils. Uses of Geranium essential oil date back to ancient Egypt when Egyptians used Geranium oil to beautify the appearance of skin. In the Victorian era, fresh geranium leaves were placed at formal dining tables as decorative pieces and to be consumed as a fresh sprig if desired; in fact, the edible leaves and flowers of the plant are often used in desserts, cakes, jellies, and teas. As an essential oil, Geranium has been used to promote the appearance of clear skin and healthy hair—making it ideal for skin and hair care products. The aroma helps promote a feeling of calm and balance.

You will use it as it:

  1. Soothes skin -  Geranium oil is highly soothing when applied to your complexion. Used topically, its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties can purify and soothe your skin. “It even provides your skin with a dose of radiance”, says De Couic Marinier.

  2. Smoothes out acne - Geranium is Antibacterial & Anti-Inflammatory meaning it can keep bacteria at bay. It can help cleanse your skin of the dirt and bacteria that can clog your pores and ultimately cause those pesky pimples

  3. Helps with hemorrhoids - Geranium oil is a well-known natural remedy for piles in the hemorrhoid area and is known to help reduce inflammation.

  4. Relaxes your emotions - Used in aromatherapy applications, Geranium Essential Oil reduces feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, fatigue, and tension, enhances concentration, improves cognitive function, and balances the emotions as well as the hormones

  5. Reduces the visibility of varicose and spider veins - known for aiding skin conditions and improving circulation, and helichrysum oil, also known to boost circulation and minimising inflammation, have the potential to reduce the appearance of varicose and spider veins.


FIVE: Ginger: Sourced from Madagascar, doTERRA Ginger essential oil is derived from the fresh rhizome of the ginger plant, the subterranean stalk of a plant that shoots out the root system.

A featured ingredient in many Asian dishes, Ginger has a hot, fragrant flavour when used as a kitchen spice. In Western tradition, Ginger is most often used in sweets like gingerbread or ginger biscuits.

Ginger essential oil can also be applied topically or inhaled for a soothing aroma.

It will help you with:

  1. Nausea - Ginger is an ancient herb used widely in history for its many natural medicinal properties and particularly as an antiemetic. The best available evidence demonstrates that ginger is an effective and inexpensive treatment for nausea and vomiting and is safe

You will use it for:

  1. ACID REFLUX/HEARTBURN - Lemon essential oil is a potent antibacterial agent that helps to kill off bad bacteria. It can also help to balance digestive acid levels in the gut.
