Energized Income - The Energetics of Building a Coaching Business
(and yes, this includes a Network Marketing Business)
Energetics - the properties of something in terms of energy.
It is also a branch of physics that deals primarily with energy and its transformations.
Considering my role as an Energy Medicine Mentor, I have applied the laws of Energy Medicine to my business as a whole, which includes my Network Marketing Business too.
I have tried many things in my business.
Generic Sales & Marketing Trainings, buying courses and programs to understand the HOW TO’s of basic tasks like email marketing, social media management, launches, funnels, youtube, instagram - you name it, I’ve probably done some sort of experimental training with it. I’ve learnt from some of the best in the industry.
But nothing compares to what I've learned and applied when it comes to the laws of energy medicine.
That’s not to say that all ‘the tools’ I’ve learnt to use haven’t helped or were not useful (not at all) - what I am saying is that they were all supercharged when I threaded energy medicine techniques into implementing them.
I find it quite amusing actually. I started my business in 2013, shortly after getting married, and at the time, I was starting to create of a 7 week course called the Chakra Sessions, which I never did release because I found doTERRA Essential Oils, which unbeknownst to me at the time, was a network marketing company.
I had no qualms with Direct Selling or Network Marketing. In fact, I grew up in a family with women who mostly had their fingers in various network marketing pies. So if anything, I was ‘down’ to join arms with a company who sold a product that I was in love with. Why not? Why wouldn’t I?
Surprisingly I had a bit of pushback from friends my age, warning me that Network Marketing was a scam and a pyramid scheme. Interestingly, these friends had no direct experience with network marketing companies, and had taken their advice from parents and carers who had heard of their friends having had bad experiences with other companies in the past.
I likened it to an analogy about having a bad experience at an Italian Restaurant, and then never eating Italian ever again. Yes, no doubt there have been less than integrous companies that have used aggressive sales tactics and weak compensation models.
These companies lacked morality and conscience, which eventually led to them ceasing operations following their inability to make a profit or to bring in enough revenue to cover their expenses. Unfortunately, they took their trusted Affiliates down with them.
Again, one bad bowl of ravioli can’t bring the entire pasta industry down can it?
So there I am, just turned 30, changing strategic direction (only slightly) from launching an online program to teach about energy, to launching a network marketing business, using the laws of energy medicine to support me.
What a trip.
It’s taken me time to refine the energetics of network marketing, and I can tell you hands down, that it’s the most divine journey I’ve ever been on. Even the tough times taught me about how the laws of Energy Medicine really work.
Laws like:
What is in one is in the whole (applied to me and my downline)
The Law of Polarity (opposites only exist because of one another, and how to use this to my business’ benefit)
The Law of Attraction (not the surface level knowledge either, the embodiment practices associated with this powerful law)
The Law of Magnetic Attraction (how when you’re in servant leadership, you’re on the money)
The Law of Reciprocity (what you give comes back to you in spades)
…. And the list goes on and on….
Firstly, let’s all agree that Universal Laws (like that of Energy Medicine) don’t discriminate. They don't change tact depending on who is living them. What is good for one is good for all.
This is the same whether you’re applying the laws to your family life, coaching business, or in the case of this article, Network Marketing.
Here are some interesting mindset changes that come as a result of bringing in the laws of energy medicine dynamics, which can be addressed as a part of a Network Marketing structure:
Humans, since the start of the industrial revolution, have been trading dollars for hours. This model saw ordinary working people finding employment in the mills and factories, which were often under strict working conditions with long hours of labor dominated by a pace set by machines. The Industrial Revolution occurred during the period from around 1760 to about 1820–1840, and yet, we today are still working 10-hour days. Fast forward 120 or so years later, even with all the advancements in technology, seeing the Information Age brace us back in the 1970’s and yet, we still work at a pace set by machines. This is the first Energetic Law to master when running your own business (Network Marketing or otherwise). Stop trading our dollars for hours, and enter into a Model that relies on Service and Relationships, and not by the amount of hours you spend behind your computer. Allowing this law to be your new normal, offers you the freedom to choose your own hours, and to figure out a way that works for you, so as to create a life on your own terms.
Where I see people go wrong here, is that they apply the industrial revolution model of working ten hours per day to their business, which saps their creativity, their energy and of course, leads them to resenting their business. But it’s not the business to blame, it’s their approach to the business that’s outdated.
When I started learning about subtle aromatherapy as a part of my Holistic Therapist Certification, all of my antennas stood on end. Everything I learned (and was applying in practice) about the energies of these incredible plants was nearing me closer and closer to the truth that a constant stream and flow of Energy Heals.
And when coupled with plant medicine, we accelerate the healing process tenfold.
This can be applied to the business too. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
The practice of this law relies on the CEO of any business, or the Leaders of a team, to stimulate the flow of energy in the entity to address imbalances, and stagnation, and to promote clarity.
It allows the changes in the universe to continue to happen and prevent stagnation.
If the energy system in our body speaks to us, then by Universal Law, what is in one is in the whole, our business’ energy speaks with us too. We must listen and act in order to co-create and achieve ‘health and vitality’.
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy states that energy is constantly moving, transmuting, or transferring, and it is always in motion (hence the word perpetual!). This continuous metamorphosis never stops; Everything is always changing and nothing stays constant.
Your business has its own energetic blueprint which, as well as yours, is always changing and ever evolving, which is the key to its success in delivering its magic to the world. When we apply the laws of Energy Medicine as an art and a science, we find ourselves in front of the perfect client, customer or group of recipients, working with them and teaching them what we’re there to teach.
Imagine a time when you were frustrated because you couldn’t find someone to buy your products, or sell your services to? Energetically, there was a kink in the hose that is your business’ energy system, and it’s up to you to figure out how to UNKINK the hose.
Your subconscious mind is where all the work of changing or transmuting thoughts into tangible results happens. To access everything the subconscious mind has to offer, you can train it to align with your intentions. The same applies when you have clients or customers.
We work with these Energy Medicine Universal Laws to empower ourselves in being able to hear the direct messages from our business in a way that’s loud and clear. And then develop trust and confidence to go out and deliver as we are promoted to.
All of this results in living happier, healthier lives, arm in arm with our business and ourselves.
This information isn’t new.
Long recognized by Eastern cultures, subtle energy fields are only recently being detected, studied, and utilized by Western medicine. Energy medicine is transforming health care, as well as having an impact on education, business, sports, and all other endeavors involving human performance, and now it can have a profound effect on you and your business too.
Energy medicine is both a complement to your Business, Network Marketing or otherwise. It acts as a complementary therapy, like medical care and a complete system for self-care and self-help.
It can address many business-disorders (as I like to call them), and can also promote high-level and peak performance.
Dreams are not made through punching a clock. You can run your business a different way!
You can sell your products and services in a way that isn’t aggressive or annoying. You don't have to overwork yourself to the bone to build a strong business. You can do it from a place of self care, love, attraction, and authentic interpersonal relationships.
I always encourage my clients to relax, see the larger overarching vision of creating a strong foundation for their business through creating a robust energy system within themselves first.
This comes through slowing down, and creating space around you (and in your calendar) so that you can allow for your creativity to be sparked.
Yes, we speak about specific protocols and tangible habits that can support the body more to heal and regulate the nervous system, but what they leave every session with, is a deep sense of being supported in the most nourishing way.
Women who join my 1:1 or group containers have heart and integrity, and oftentimes, have lost contact with their own desires. They’ve forgotten that they’re capable of facilitating their own healing.
I work with women who are healers, practitioners, farmers, mothers and coaches, helping them all reconnect with their business, their vision and their desires for the future, and they leave our time together with tools and wisdom to support them throughout their lives!
This is what we mean when we say ‘the work’.
Anyone who knows anything about business knows its peaks and valleys and internal ever changing landscapes.
With eloquent and gentle leadership you will be supported to do whatever it is you want to do in your life.
You will be guided to completely dismantle your “lack mentality” and develop a healthy “money-story” , in particular your ability to receive and create it.
Energy Medicine isn’t just about tools and practices either, it’s about embodying these practices and tools, which often can bring up your perceived limitations.
It can be rough. You may have to get real with yourself and face your biggest fears.
From experience, business owners have fears around being seen, using their voice, being their authentic selves in the face of those who don’t want what they’re selling.
This is real life. Real, practical, tangible models that will allow you to truly see yourself with the support of someone who is in your corner.
Times are changing. They need to change.
The old ways of doing business are dying. The new ways are already being laid.
