Self Reiki

Are you ill, in pain, or in distress and seeking help to cope with your situation ?

Are you feeling low or anxious?

Does everything feel ‘just too much at times’?

Would you like to find another way to recharge and gain peace of mind?

Then Reiki may help you…

There have been many groundbreaking scientific studies on how Reiki Really Works, and A 2007 survey shows that, in the United States (U.S.), 1.2 million adults tried Reiki or a similar therapy at least once in the previous year. Over 60 hospitals are believed to offer Reiki services to patients.

There are three degrees in Reiki

The First Degree is when you take the first step on your journey with Reiki. This will open up a new world of healing experiences that range from healing yourself and others to healing your home and the world.

Using the First Degree:

The First level of Reiki can be used in many ways. The only thing that is missing from this level is the ability to send distance healing, which is learned at the second level. Therefore, many people find that the first degree is sufficient in itself.

First Degree Reiki can be used for:

  • Self Healing

  • Healing others (for free - you’re not certified to treat others at level 1)

  • Healing animals and plants

  • Bringing energy to your environment

  • Energising food and drink

Self Treatment:

Self healing is the most important first step in Reiki, because without healing yourself, you can’t heal others. Giving yourself Reiki everyday is an essential part of this. The hand placements for self-treatment are shown here. Each position should be held for approx 3-5 minutes but if you need to hold for a while longer, then go right ahead.

“A healer's power stems not from any special ability, but from maintaining the courage and awareness to embody and express the universal healing power that every human being naturally possesses.”

Eric Micha'el Leventhal

What is REIKI?

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, yet powerful method of healing.

Reiki energy (described as Universal Life Energy’ or ‘Spiritual Energy’) which is accessed by the practitioner during a treatment, enhances the body’s natural healing ability and promotes wellbeing.

Reiki Treatments stand on their own as a healing practise and are also safely used to support orthodox & complementary medicine. It is increasingly accepted in health and community care facilities including hospitals, hospices, and cancer support units.

We are not simply our physical bodies.

Around us, and within us, there lives an attracting electromagnetic field that omits the frequency of our energetic body and our aura.

We are all made up of vibrations. The human body is made up of millions of molecules that vibrate giving frequencies that form a unique vibration when we are healthy. The vibrations of the body can easily go out of tune when we experience physical or emotional distress. Vibrational therapies like Reiki, can be used to restore the body’s own healthy harmonic resonance.

Vibrational healing suggests that disturbed or blocked vibrations arise in the subtle body before disease manifests on a physical plane. Therefore, it’s better to gently restore these vibrations before a physical disease has developed. It may be possible to be reversed by changing the subtle energy.

Becoming healed is to become connected once more to the soul.

Reiki can help us to understand root causes of any disease that afflicts us. We must learn to explore any beliefs that are causing us pain and suffering with compassion and without guilt. Most importantly, without judgement for ourselves, or those who gave us these ‘beliefs’.
